Friday has arrived. I’m heading for work. Ok, time to get out of this chair and move my backside. But no! I want to just lay in bed, listen to good old rock n roll all day long. No bath, no food, just curl up and sleep while music plays full blast in the background.
But that isn’t happening in reality, so I’m going to work. I reach and my mind is no where around this place. Even worse, it’s not in any place either. Nothing on this excel sheet seems to register. So I spend a few minutes, colour coding the stats. But, that is boring too. Yawn!!! I want to get high!
I have nothing better to do. Most of the lunch gang are not at work. I want to get high. I’m just plain bored. I have no apparent reason why I all of a sudden long for a nice cold goblet of Long Island Ice Tea, or maybe a nice minty Mojito. I’ll settle for some white rum and lime cordial. It’s not even mid day yet. I have no reason in particular to get high. Just out of want of something better to do with this otherwise mundane day. I cant go down to the local tavern in the evening, because I have sworn off OH molecules until the darn exams are over. So would not want to break my promise to me.
I found the solution. I go to the cafeteria, plug in the ipod. Got a ‘The Who’ album playing. Buy myself 6 packs of really cold orange juice and drink it real fast. Aaaah! That’s the good stuff. I got an awesome brain freeze and all that citrus definitely making me feel better. Woo hoo…..hic hic !!!
