We will be legend !

In case you haven't seen this movie i.e "i am legend", let me brief you on what it's about. It's how mankind managed to shoot itself in the foot and poor Mr.legend is the sole survivor.

It just set me thinking,(that's a start), is this where we are eventually going? History has shown that mankind, in the pursuit of a better life has successfully managed to improve one problem while creating a whole new bunch of problems.
We created atomic energy to save us from the impending energy crisis, but we eventually used it to blow towns up and live in perpetual fear that some despot might decide to go trigger happy on the nuke button.
That's just a small example. We created new strains of virus to counter act existing killers and then those were tweaked to make deadlier strains.
Basically, what goes around comes around. Karma exists. We just might cure one disease and end up creating something that may turn us into blood-sucking night walkers with a non existent social structure. We may turn every carbon based life form into a lean mean killing machines. It just could happen. Maybe it will be mother nature's way of saying,"Hey, this is pay back for what you self proclaimed superior species did to me".

While science is going to rid us of many of the problems we invented, we just might be inventing "the invention to kill the inventor" !!!!
